[Barbecue pits at the beach were probably one of the most amazing things ever. They were enough to draw Charlie out of her apartment, at the very least. Honestly, she hated the beach. She hated water. Couldn't be in it for long without feeling suffocated. This was why she had a barbecue pit claimed in the name of 'she fucking said so' as far from the water as she could get while still remaining on the sand.

And it was going. It was currently just heating and she could help the process along. But she was content to sit on a bench nearby, large cooler nearby with most of the food in it and a book in her hands. She is completely dressed for a day at the beach, t-shirts and shorts over swimwear she will not be swimming in, thankyouverymuch, and a pair of sandals she found in the back of her closet. And she's completely botherable.]

[Hello, Citizens of the City! Here we have one Charlie McGee, eying the mistletoe with mild suspicion but otherwise unbothered. She has no clue what the deal is with it and is on her way to work, trying to sidestep the majority of it.

Have fun with her, won't you?]

(ooc: okay. if it takes me a while to get back to your tags, just understand I'm flailing like an idiot and have turned into a 12 year old mentally over this whole thing.)

[The feed kicks on, the device clearly on a table but not the one in Charlie's apartment. This would be a diner table and Charlie's very half heartedly looking through a menu. She still looks a bit tired and a bit stressed. She should be fine soon, though. There's the sound of a door opening and Charlie turns, watching whoever it is that enters the place a bit anxiously. And then, she frowns.

She's waiting for someone and that wasn't them. Oh, well. At least this time when she's waiting for someone at a restaurant, the npc waitress is nicer. The one at Hymns had been kind of obnoxious.

There was also a big bag next to her, the name of a local video game store on the side. Apparently, she'd been shopping. Impulse buys were the perfect post-curse therapy, okay?]

[One week out of work due to a case of "killer fishlady" and Charlie was determined to make it to work today. She'd tried on Halloween but apparently, she was mistaken for something tasty and nutritious a few times and after making sure people got home and away from the cannibalistic residents of The City, Charlie stayed in until she was sure it was safe to go out. She had errands to run before heading to The Jasmine Dragon, though, so her schedule sort of went like this:

First Stop: Laundromat. Her clothes need washing. Some of them are bloody. Anything that still had a blood stain on it after being washed was tossed. She also brought along a couple books to read and an apple and has tucked herself into a corner to read while she waits for machines to finish doing their thing.

Second Stop: Groceries. Yes, she's going to try to carry groceries AND a small duffel bag of clothes. No, she doesn't need h---okay, maybe if someone took a shopping bag, that'd be super.

Third Stop: Home but that's irrelevant. She's just here to drop things off, put things away and then head to work.

Final Stop! If anyone is at the Jasmine Dragon, Charlie will be your friendly waitress today.

Feel free to catch her at any of these places! Even after work!]

[Cast an eyeball at the red-head on roller skates as she weaves her way in an out of cars at the drive-in diner. She works here. She probably has your order. And she's probably chewing bubblegum and wearing something similar to this. She's a nice enough car hop.

She'll mind your flip-tops and screamers. Want her number? Well, ain't that a bite. It's not gonna happen and unless your questions are about the food they serve here, she'll probably get huffy, ask if you're writin' a book and then skate off to deal with less aggravating customers. Bug her more and she'll tell you to put an egg in your shoe and beat it.

But other than that, enjoy your food!]

[ooc: as much fun as that was to write, I'm sure I got a lot of the slang wrong. Eesh. ENJOY!]
